Airing Out My Grievances With Tommy's Hockey Gear Stench, Ad-Libbed Strata
Highlight(s): Texting with Jeri this am and talking about making plans to visit with her and Jen. Played U2's "New Year's Day" as is my tradition. Breakfast at LGCafe & Walking Abby and Lucy. Sorting through items set out on the dining room table and in the wall cabinet. 1st pass through Matson patio clearing and cleaning, as well as some storage and side-alley clutter and prep for completion tomorrow. Cleaned Tommy's scuba gear for moving to a watertight container. Baked a double-batch of flourless chocolate torte. Baked a large pastrami & cheese strata with a mix of Jarlsberg, Sharp Cheddar, and Fennel seeds. Jen baked the Jarlsberg rind into 'cheese crackers' that are delicious.
Gratitude: The availability and wonderful smell of lavender and rosemary I get by squeezing them while walking past bushes around the neighborhood. Discovering the NYD Easter egg on the Apple Watch that I'd missed all these prior years.
Goal(s): Complete the storage reorg and Christmas "teardown" at Matson tomorrow.
Anticipation: Tommy's return tomorrow night.
