Highlight(s): Jogged 1/3 mile w/the dog this am – felt good to get some movement. He still did the 'panting and shaking' but no drooling and the lethargy disappeared the min the kids arrived. Pretty telling. It's about missing people or feeling along. He did well waiting in the car during some PM errands (note to self: never agree to take tommy anywhere without expecting it to take longer than you think). Found it really irritating that walking the dog w/them = distractions = no pooping (dog). Tried to separate them but it was too late. I need to let go of trying to control such things. There's no battle of wills, it's a dog wanting to see my kids. Clearly meant a lot to him. He's w/lauren so far, tonight, on her bed. Will see how that goes through the night.
Gratitude: Glad to have more insight into the dog's moods.
Goal: Improve my ability to let go of control and focus only on my reactions, the only thing I truly do have control over.
Anticipation: Hoping that leaving him tomorrow 8am - 1pm will go ok. Although I want to all him to have back yard/front yard access i am hesitant about doing so, just don't want him going crazy trying to get out of the back yard.
Accomplishments: Walking Parenting Cleanup
